Open Source
All Literacy for Kids curricula are open source, free to use, and designed to be adapted.
What that means
- Free — every curriculum is available at no cost
- Open — all content is publicly available and transparently developed
- Adaptable — educators are encouraged to modify lessons, reorder content, and adjust materials to fit their learners
- Community-driven — contributions, suggestions, and feedback are welcome
Hosted on GitHub
All curricula and this hub site are hosted on GitHub under the Literacy for Kids organization:

How to adapt
You can use the curricula exactly as they are, or you can:
- rearrange lessons to match your schedule
- skip lessons that do not fit your learners
- add your own examples, discussions, or activities
- translate materials into another language
- fork a repository and build your own version
The materials are designed to be a starting point. Make them your own.
